What a certificate of authenticity does
A COA connects seller, object name and exact specimen data. It is valuable when photograph, mass, name and transfer history correspond.
Limit
What it cannot prove alone
A printed sheet replaces neither scientific classification nor traceable provenance. Database record, object records and specimen identity are therefore considered separately.
